Had my first college class today (am I a big girl yet?) and so far things have gone well. I’ve talked to -gasp- other people but I haven’t learned anyone’s name yet XDD I also felt smart because today was pretty much a review of some stuff we did in my stats class so I kinda knew what was happening and actually helped the people sitting next to me when they got confused on calculator steps. I feel like I leveled up from “math retarded” to “slightly helpful”.

I looked like an idiot today. Worst dancer ever and not very good at the flag stuff we had to learn. Oh well. The director was awesome and he’s cool and I’m auditioning anyway. I don’t even care if I sucked or not. I had fun and after what I went through I think I could take on just about anything colorguard can dish out. I’m ready for this.

I have so much respect for guard people. After learning how to toss singles today (and failing quite a bit), I can’t imagine how hard it must be marching a whole show with work and more complicated tosses than just singles. I think guard is actually harder than dancing. Cause for dancing even though we have to do fouettes and all that fun stuff , we don’t have to worry about tossing and spinning flags. Once you add in the flags, HOLY CRAP, it gets a millon times harder. So if guard person is reading this, I don’t know how you do it, but you are amazing. and I really need to learn how to toss a single.
